Tripura Santiniketan Medical College & Hospital (TSMC&H) is affiliated with Tripura University, a Central University established under the Tripura University Act, 2006.

Tripura University was founded on October 2, 1987, and was later upgraded to a Central University in 2007. The University is committed to excellence in higher education, research, and innovation, and plays a significant role in the academic development of Tripura and the Northeast region of India.
